Safeguarding
Safeguarding children and protecting them from harm is everyone’s responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and families has a role to play. Brompton-Westbrook takes this role extremely seriously and our approach to safeguarding is underpinned by two key principles:
- a child-centred approach: for services to be effective they should be based on a clear understanding of the needs and views of children; and
- safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility: for services to be effective each professional and organisation should play their full part.
At Brompton-Westbrook we fulfil these principles by always putting the needs of each individual child at the centre of what we do; working closely with other agencies to provide effective support; and providing staff with regular and up-to-date safeguarding training.
Sue Mason (Head Teacher) is the school's Designated Safeguarding Lead..
John Jones (Chair) is our Safeguarding Governor.
