Romesa has been applying her art skills to create a powerful image of her chosen supergero - her dad! Romesa's dad is a paediatrician, who has been working hard on the front line, helping his patients. Tyler-Jae has loved finding about World War 2 this term. His mum was even able to locate a folder of newspaper cuttings and other documents, which had been collected by his Great Great Uncle Stan, during the war. This is a fantastic resource, giving us an insight into how the war was seen through the eyes of the people living through it. We are so pleased that you have such a strong passion for this period of history, Tyler-Jae. Keep up the great learning!

Romesa has produced a fantastic non-chronological report about World War 2. She was able to summarise the important information that she had researched and presented her findings clearly and concisely for the reader. Her illustrations and colourful presentation contribute to its engaging layout. Some very interesting facts Romesa - I never knew Queen Elizabeth served as a mechanic during the war! Great work.

Tyler-Jae has been immersing himself in the World War 2 topic, by watching films on the subject and reading diary entries from evacuees.  He has written a diary entry from the perspective of a child who has been evacuated, building a clear picture for the reader about what it would have been like for the children at this time.  You can read his diary entry here. Fantastic learning Tyler-Jae!.
